Meet our birth photographers
My name is Helena Willicott and I am a Registered Nurse specializing in Midwifery, Psychiatry and General Nursing.
I am passionate about photography. I have been behind the camera since I was a little girl. Since completing photography courses with some of the top photography tutors, I’ve worked as a freelance photographer and trainer in various fields. The passion for birth photography came at the birth of my little boy. This is when I realised that I’ve found my calling and ultimate job. Birth photography has not felt like I’ve worked but rather that I’ve been given the opportunity to live my passion.
I am a wife to a lovely supportive husband and a mom of 3 kiddos.
I had my boys at Blaauwberg Hospital. We were fortunate enough to have had a brilliant anaesthetist who knew how to handle my camera and we now have precious memories of those events as a result.
My heart is that every birth should be captured with precision and love.
My name is Tracey Shaw and I am firstly a wife, mother and grandmother. I am passionate about people and photography and have loved being behind the lens from a very young age after winning my very first camera. My father, too, being a budding photographer from as far back as I can remember instilled the love of photography and with that a real sense of sentimentality. It’s true what is meant by the saying that when you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life and I trust that my passion and love for what I do radiates through myself and my work. My style would be classified as lifestyle/documentary and now I include Birth photography to my portfolio – a truly memorable and miraculous experience.
We are a dynamic team and focus on the client and their needs, while loving every moment doing it.
